On 1 September 2026, Yahia Zakaria Messaoudi started a PhD program under the supervision of Brahim Hamid and Asma Charfi Smaoui. The work is a continuous collaboration between IRIT and CEA. The research focuses particularly on an AI-Enhanced MBSE Framework for the Joint Analysis of Safety and Security of Critical Systems.

On 2 November 2025, Loic Thierry successfully defended his PhD thesis in the context of a co-tutelle with Carleton University (Canada), under the supervision of Brahim Hamid and Jason Jaskolka. The work is a continuous collaboration between IRIT and Carleton. The research focuses particularly on the formalisation of security using positive and negative statements in Event-B.

On 1 March 2025, Emery Lekien started a PhD program in the context of a CIFRE program with Exail Aerospace, under the supervision of Brahim Hamid and Cecile Bazot. The work is a continuous collaboration between IRIT and Exail Aerospace. The research focuses particularly on Model-Based Security Compliance-By-Design for Embedded Connectivity Systems.

On 1 February 2025, Pierre Puigpinos started a PhD program under the supervision of Brahim Hamid. The research focuses particularly on an AI-Driven Framework For Security in Software and System Development.

On 12 December 2024, Marwa Zeroual successfully defended her PhD thesis under the supervision of Brahim Hamid and Morayo Adedjouma. The work is a continuous collaboration between IRIT and CEA. The research focuses particularly on Security Assurance Case for Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Based Systems.
